Choir
We're really proud of our school choir! The children participate in many events in our local area - especially around Christmas. We have performed in events held at Derby Assembly Rooms, Derby Cathedral, The Crooked Spire at Chesterfield, Sudbury Hall, The Riverside Centre at Pride Park in Derby, our local church, and our local supermarket, to name a few!
Places in the choir are limited, and each year we're heavily over-subscribed. We can only fit a certain number of children into the choir stalls at church and on our stage; and when we perform in other venues, we're limited to the numbers they can accommodate.
Each September/October, we hold auditions for places. The keys to securing a place in the choir are preparation, practice and resilience! Many children who we couldn't fit into last year's choir have made it into this year's.
Any children interested in joining should talk to Mr Blake and Mr Buckle, who lead and run the choir. They may get some free singing lessons/tips* in with the bargain!
