Harvest Festivals (October 2016)

An amazing array of fruits, veggies, dried goods, tins and comical pumpkins awaited parents and families who visited our Harvest festivals, held on 6th and 7th October 2016.

In KS2, the children gave presentations on the theme of Faith, Hope, Charity and Love, and sang Harvest songs. John Grace spoke about charity, and Mr Bower revealed that in the time the Y6 children have been at the school, we have raised £20,000 for good causes! Wow! What a generous community we have in Codnor.

To round off the event, Councillor Chris Emmas-Williams revealed the results of the children's vote for this year's School Councillors. The ballot box is genuine!

Congratulations to our new School Councillors, and thanks to all of the parents and families who came along to watch, and who bought produce.

Our charity this year is Nepal. Click here for more information, including photographs. After our Harvest Festivals, we sent a further £140 to Sanogumela. Thanks for your help! smiley
