Provision for children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability)

At Codnor Primary School we aim to give all children equal access to teaching and learning. We aim to plan for continuity and progression at our school and upon transfer to secondary education. We recognise the entitlement of all pupils to a broad and balanced curriculum. Our SEND policy reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive. The Governing Body will ensure that appropriate provision will be made for all pupils with SEND.

The Local Offer

The local offer provides information on what services children, young people and their families can expect from a range of local agencies, including health and social care. Knowing what there is out there gives you more choice and therefore, more control over what support is right for your child. Information about the Derbyshire Local offer can be found at:

www.derbyshiresendlocaloffer.org

The schools SEND policy also outlines what we will offer your child at Codnor School so that they can have equal access to the curriculum and make progress in their learning.

If you have any queries at all please contact Rebecca Allanson, our Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator.
