Autumn 1

Wow! What an amazing start we have had in Teddy Bears class. All the children have settled in well. They are making friends and enjoying the different activities. The water has been very popular!

Elmer Day!

As we had thought about colours in our book 'The colour monster,' we decided to continue our work on colour by reading Elmer. We have learnt new words including "patchwork" and enjoyed exploring the colours that he is made of. We celebrated Elmer and being different by having an Elmer Day, where we all dressed up in bright clothes like Elmer and made Elmer biscuits. We had lots of fun!

Autumn walk

As part of reading the Creation Story, we went on an Autumn walk to explore God's World and the signs of Autumn. It was very cold so we wrapped up warm in thick coats and wore wellie boots so we can splash in the mud. We saw the leaves changing colour and heard them crunching as we walked through the woods. We also found lots of insects and minibeasts and we looked after them and made sure they were not disturbed.

We were very creative and made Harvest scarecrows and pumpkins for our virtual Harvest Festival! We hope you enjoy looking at the photos!
