Indicates that the child completed a particular piece of work independently - that's with minimal help and only the encouragement usually provided by their teacher and/or teaching assistant. It's usually used when the child worked within a supported group - but the group leader wanted to note that a particular piece or section of work was completed independently.
If this symbol (or the 'with support' symbol) are not written at all, then the child worked independently.
The child may write this symbol themselves, or it may be written by a member of staff.
