We believe learning extends far beyond the classroom, which is why Enrichment forms such a huge part of our personally designed curriculum. Our enrichment opportunities allow pupils to explore new interests, develop talents, and gain unforgettable experiences. From music, art and drama to sports, outdoor adventures and visits to castles or the seaside, pupils are encouraged to discover their passions and build confidence. Clubs, workshops, competitions and community projects help pupils develop skills, resilience and teamwork, while fostering curiosity, creativity and a love of learning.

Our recent pupil voice results showed some fantastic findings for enrichment in our school!
Pupils scored an average score of 8.75/10 for our enrichment questionnaire, which was an improvement of 4.5/10 in our previous enrichment questionnaire from 2021!

At Codnor, enrichment plays a vital role in building pupils’ cultural capital. Through trips, visitors, workshops, clubs, and special curriculum days, we give children meaningful experiences that broaden their knowledge of the world and help them make sense of what they learn in the classroom. These shared experiences develop vocabulary, confidence, curiosity, and aspiration, ensuring that all pupils—regardless of background—have access to the cultural knowledge and opportunities they need to succeed both in school and in later life.
