Transitions are vital throughout Early Years and beyond. At Codnor, we provide a range of opportunities to aid transitions through Early Years and into KS1. These include: 

• Opportunity for a school visit to see our school.
• Inviting parents for a 'new starters' meeting once children get a place at Codnor. 
• Mouse Club Mouse given to our youngest children in Nursery. 
• Inviting parents and children in for a stay and play session with their child before they start School. 
• Inviting children in for a transition morning without parents before they start School. 
• Reception Teachers visit children at their current setting in the Summer before they start at Codnor. 
• Teachers speak to Nurseries and have an open dialogue with them. 
• A 'Settled in Session' for parents after children start.
