Transitions are vital throughout Early Years and beyond. At Codnor, we provide a range of opportunities to aid transitions through Early Years and into KS1. These include:
- Opportunity for a school visit to see our school.
- Inviting parents for a 'new starters' meeting once children get a place at Codnor.
- Mouse Club Mouse given to our youngest children in Nursery.
- Inviting parents and children in for a stay and play session with their child before they start School.
- Inviting children in for a transition morning without parents before they start School.
- Reception Teachers visit children at their current setting in the Summer before they start at Codnor.
- Teachers speak to Nurseries and have an open dialogue with them.
- A 'Settled in Session' for parents after children start.
