Mr Bower retires
It's been an emotional day for us here at Codnor Primary. Not only have we said goodbye to our brilliant Y6s, our lovely headteacher, Mr Steve Bower, has retired today. Steve and his wife, Gaenor, have bought some smashing picnic benches for school as a leaving present for the children so they can sit together and have a chat.
Mr Bower wrote:
Dear Parents,
I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the kind words, cards, letters, emails, and number of lovely presents I have been given this week. You are so generous, and I am touched by what has been said to me. Thank you indeed. I am very sad to be leaving the Codnor community. Rest assured that everything is in order for our fantastic school to continue on its successful journey. You and your children deserve the highest quality provision, and I am confident that it is in place. Best wishes to all.
