• Harvest!

  On 23rd and 24th October, we held our annual Harvest Festivals. A massive thanks for all your support! From Nursery through to Y6, we think the children did a superb job. Apologies that the hall was so crammed, but that just shows what a great community we have here in Codnor! Not many schools are this fortunate – you are all very appreciated.

   

  Pics and the final total for WaterAid coming soon (watch this space!), but in the meantime, here's a photo taken from the stage of an extremely busy hall - and this was just while the children were coming in!

  

• KS1 Athletics Winners!

  Our Year 2 children have won the KS1 Sportshall Athletics Competition for the third year in a row! They performed fantastically in the Speed Bounce, Standing Long Jump and Chest Throw events before winning four races and finishing second in the other two. It was a close competition, with Howitt Primary pushing us all the way, but we came out on top in the end! Congratulations to the team!

  

• Amber Valley Sports Award!

  Our school has won the Champion Schools award from Amber Valley School Sports Partnership! Mr Webb, our PE and sports coach said: "This is a fantastic achievement. It rewards our school’s commitment to school sports and celebrates the great attitude of our children."

   

  115 out of 160 children who could attend a competition were involved in some kind of competitive sport last year - around 72%. We're hoping to raise that number even further this year.
