Remembrance

Over the last few years, our Y6 children have visited our church, St James' on Crosshill, to hold two minutes' silence to show gratitude and respect for those who lost their lives.

Y6s have been studying World War One, and as part of this, they researched the soldiers from our local community who died in WW1. Each child was allocated a name, and they created a poppy for each soldier. The children designed and painted a remembrance stone to commemorate the lives lost in WW1. These are placed on the memorial at St James'.
