Saturday, December 9th - and it all kicks off for the choir. Nerves run high before our first performance, with some choristers making promises to faint when the curtain opens. Fortunately, the only drama happening is some super singing and a great first performance!
Onstage, behind the curtain, trying not to panic.
The curtain opens, the children shake off their nerves, and perform two songs beautifully! Thanks to our great audience for their generous applause and some lovely comments afterwards.
Success! Well done, choir!
Brrrrrr! The weather beats us again on Tuesday 12th December, at Codnor Market Place for the annual 'Carols Around the Tree' service. Organised by Codnor Parish Council, the service brings the community together and features the Heage Band and our own school choir.
On Thursday 14th December, every little helps as we sing some of our choir songs and other festive favourites outside our local supermarket!
As school breaks up for Christmas on Friday 15th December, we invite parents, families and friends to our lovely Carols Around the Tree event - a great way to start their Christmas celebrations. As well as the choir, we had performances from our musicians on the piano, violin, brass and cello. What a talented bunch!
Whatever your plans over the festive period, we hope you all have a great holiday, and some time to put your feet up! Thanks to all the choir and their parents for all their super efforts. Same time again next year?
