  • Bouncy Castle! (Updated)

    Tue 15 Jun 2021
Good afternoon all. With some of our nice summer events having to be cancelled due to the pandemic, we have arranged for an "inflatable assault course" (imagine a super-sized bouncy castle!) to be installed for 2 days on the field. We have worked out a covid-safe way we can do this and all risk assessments are in place. A letter was sent out via child-mail today, but in case your letter didn't make it, a copy is at the link below. A well-deserved treat for our children!

Update: Hello everyone. Well our inflatable day has been lovely! Because of the dodgy weather forecast tomorrow, we managed to squeeze almost all classes in for a go today! There are still some Nursery children who haven't had a chance yet and they will get first dibs tomorrow. After that, we will try to let the rest of our children have another play if we can fit it in with the weather and lessons. You don't have to send another £1 in. Thanks, and have a good evening.
  • Fantastic Homework!

    Fri 28 May 2021

Dear all. Your children have been showing off their brilliant homework books today - amazing work, including photos which made us all smile! Thank you for that. We hope you have a lovely half term holiday - for once, the weather looks like it's improving!! We'll see you all back on Tuesday 8th June, but if there's anything you need before then, you're welcome to email us at opening@codnor.derbyshire.sch.uk.

    Tue 11 May 2021

A quick heads up to advise you to check the safety of park play equipment before your little one uses it after this was found this morning at the new(ish) play area between Codnor and Waingroves at Brierly Road. The Safer Neighbourhood Team has been informed.

  • Autism Awareness Day

    Wed 24 Mar 2021
Monday 29th March is Autism Awareness Day, and at school, we will be joining in with National Odd Socks Day! Children are invited to come to school in school uniform, but with the oddest socks they can find! No pressure, of course! The emphasis is on having a fun day, while learning (in an age-appropriate way) that everyone is different, and that some people learn in different ways. If children would like to make a sock puppet over the weekend, they can bring it in on Monday and enter our competition!
  • Red Nose Day Total!

    Wed 24 Mar 2021
Thank you all for your donations! We're pleased to announce that we raised Β£325.00! We were a bit disappointed that the red noses didn't turn up, but we all still had a lovely day. Thanks again.
  • Comic Relief!

    Thu 11 Mar 2021
Friday 19th March is Comic Relief! As usual, we’re going to support this great charity. 🌟 The 19th will be a non-uniform day, with a voluntary donation. The theme is Superheroes, if children would like to follow the theme - but of course there's no pressure! We hope to be selling red noses, but that depends on whether they turn up! πŸ™‚
