Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school.
Parents Evenings are on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th February. We are going to try holding them in school, with the following steps in place to help keep everyone as safe as possible:
If you cannot make the Monday/Tuesday, or you do not feel that an in-person appointment is right for you at the moment, or you are running late for your appointment, you can email the teacher to arrange a phone call on a mutually convenient day and time:

Dear all. First – Happy New Year! We hope you've had a lovely Christmas. There's still a while to go before we reopen, but just to let you know that we've updated our opening information which takes into account new government guidance sent to schools. To help you speed-read, new/substantial updates are marked with a *, as we're sure you’ve more enjoyable things to be doing! If you've any questions or need help, we're listening on opening@codnor.derbyshire.sch.uk. We'll be sure to let you know if there are any changes. Enjoy the rest of the holidays.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for all your brilliant support through 2021 - and here's to 2022! Have a lovely time, stay safe, and we're looking forward to seeing you in the new year. Remember you can email us at this address if you need any help. Best wishes.
Just to confirm that children are very welcome to come to school this Friday 10th December wearing their Christmas jumper as this is the official Christmas jumper day! This should be worn with their normal school uniform please and no donation of money is required.
Dear all. Well, it’s looking Christmassy outside already. ☃️ The good news from the MET and BBC is that they predict the snow will stop shortly. When the weather happens, we always try our best to stay open because we know how disruptive it can be to families’ routines when schools have to close. As always, if we cannot open for the sake of safety, we'll text parents when we've done a site inspection first thing in the morning. The information will also be on the front page of our website – that’s your first port of call. If you don’t hear anything via these routes, then we're open! 🙂
Also, Miss Bartons class' visit to the allotments tomorrow will have to be postponed due to the weather, as they won't really be able to do/see anything.
Good morning, all. We hope you've had a lovely half term holiday - looking forward to seeing you tomorrow Just a quick one to signpost you to our Online Safety page, which has received some recent updates, to help you keep your little ones safe while they're using Internet-connected devices. See the link here, and we hope you find this helpful.
Our school photographer will be in school on Wednesday 3rd November to take individual photos of the children. If they have siblings in our nursery and school we will arrange for them to have photographs taken together during the school day. Unfortunately, due to covid infection rates, we cannot have family group photos with children not at our school, i.e. secondary school pupils. Our apologies for this, but we've got to prioritise our community's safety, and do everything we can to keep our classes open.
