Friday 18th November saw Codnor Primary supporting 'Children in Need 2016'! Fantastic costumes were created and worn by children and staff, and everyone had a spotacular day! You can click these pictures to enlarge.
Our 'Children in Need' event actually started way before 18th November! Mrs Ryde, a friend of our school, created a truly amazing Pudsey cake for the raffle. What a talented lady! Mrs Ryde and her friend Hazel also produced loads of knitted characters which our children really loved! Earlier in the week, members of our School Council and Mr Bower visited Mrs Ryde at her home to collect the results of their hard work. Thank you very much.
Our children came up with some super ideas for stalls. They baked at home, brought in prizes and equipment, and made posters. They ran the stalls completely by themselves and made a huge amount of money for a great cause!
A great big get-together at the end of the day to round off the fun and see who won!
The School Council took charge of the prize area. Knitted toys, chocolate cake, Pudsey Bears, T-shirts, jumpers, chocolate treats, and (of course) Mrs Ryde's AMAZING Pudsey cake!

Mr Bower reveals the grand total! Since the assembly, we've had a few more donations - and parents coming to collect their children bought the cakes and biscuits we had left over. Thanks very much! That brings our total to £800! The most we've ever raised for Children in Need!
