Our Christmas Poetry Competition takes place each December and features poetry performances from children across the whole school. All of the children learn and perform their poems to their classes, and then three boys and three girls are chosen to represent each year group. We have an esteemed panel of judges which includes our local councillor, Chris Emmas-Williams; and also some local poets. This year, it was the turn of published poet and all-round awesome chap, Chris White.
See below for pictures of our Poetry Competition 2015!
Chris also ran some poetry and drawing workshops for us after the competition!
The Poetry Competition winner performed his poem in church and at our Carols Around the Tree celebration, on the last day of school before the Christmas holiday. Well done, sir - you did a great job!
