We learn together within a caring, safe and friendly Christian School community where every child matters. Our delivery of RE is in accordance with the Derbyshire Local Authority agreed syllabus.
Codnor Community Primary School has a strong Christian ethos and focus. This is reflected both in the teaching of RE and during Collective Worship.
The school enjoys close links with the local church and our school assemblies have an array of visitors, which include the 'assembly team', the local clergy and Amber Valley CIDS who each deliver collective worship within school and our children visit our local church for numerous occasions throughout the year.
The study of other major world faiths is also undertaken on a rotational basis to ensure that all pupils are aware of and understand and respect the beliefs, values and practices of non-Christians.
