Maths

This half term we will be looking at shapes and patterns. We will be sorting objects in different ways including by shape, size and colour, and will be investigating 2d and 3d shapes. We will also be investigating and exploring repeating patterns.  

Literacy 

We will be reading the story 'The Colour monster' and talking about our feelings and emotions. We will be creating our own feelings jars and labelling our very own colour monster. We will also be reading the story 'Pete the cat' and exploring colour and colour mixing. We will be retelling and acting our familiar stories, writing initial sounds we hear and practicing writing our name. 

Understanding the World 

We will be focusing on exploring the world around us during our learning about Autumn, seasons and weather. We will talk about how the changing seasons affect us and describe what we see, hear and feel while ou
