Information for Reception parents

Reception Baseline Information

Your child will be participating in the reception baseline assessment (RBA) within the first 6 weeks of starting reception. The purpose of the assessment is to provide the starting point for a new measure that will help parents understand how well schools support their pupils to progress between reception and year 6 / the end of key stage 2. Parents will be provided with their child's report once baselines are completed.

Please read the document below for further information.

Reading at home

Children are given a reading book weekly and will read with an adult during the week so it is important your child brings their reading book in every day. Staff will comment in your child's reading record and parents can when they have read with their child.

Our Home Learning

Each half term, children will be given a bucket list of activities to complete at home. You can choose which activities to do when you would like but it is important to complete at least one a week.
